Major responsibility covers Introductory Biology (BIOL 101). Teaching lectures and labs. Designing in-class and in-lab activities. Proctoring and grading exams. Training and coaching undergraduate students in different tasks covering different topics in biology.

An online volunteer position. Review CVs and SOPs for prospective graduate students from Egypt and the Middle East, who are seeking graduate admission in USA, or who are seeking scholarships in EU. Typically review 3-4 application packages per month. Increased success rates for graduate admission with scholarships by 50%.

Investigated the role of ZBP-89 during inflammation and colorectal tumorigenesis. Studies were performed using molecular biology, cell biological and in-vivo mouse model skills to understand the ability of ZBP-89 to interact with ATM (ataxia telangiectasia mutated) in infection and tumorigenesis.  Prepared, edited and submitted grants and manuscripts. Authored an original research paper and 2 conference proceedings.

Examined the mechanistic effect of novel radiosensitizers on mitochondrial signaling in pancreatic cancer cells. Supervised 2 graduate students and 1 undergraduate student. Authored 2 published original research papers, delivered 3 oral presentations and invited seminars, and presented 4 posters and conference proceedings. Coauthored a book chapter and a conference proceeding.

Characterized the biological effects of cardiac glycosides (digitoxin and a synthetic monosaccharide analog as models for natural and synthetic cardiac glycosides respectively) on lung epithelial cells. Graduate work has resulted in 2 published original research papers in top tier pharmacy journals, 1 published review paper, 10 oral presentations and seminars, and 7 presented poster sessions.

Trained and coached pharmacy students in pharmaceutical liquid formulations, semisolid formulations, dosage form design, pharmaceutical quality control analysis, pharmaceutical calculations, OTC preparations and drug interactions.
