Ich bin Art Director und Designer aus München mit über zwei Jahrzehnten Berufserfahrung. Mein Fachgebiet ist visuelles Storytelling mithilfe konzeptionellen Designs, Typografie und Art Direction. Mein Background in Journalismus und Design (inklusive eines Bachelor-Abschlusses in Magazin-Redaktion und eines Master-Abschlusses in Magazin-Design) verleihen mir ein besonderes Profil an Fähigkeiten. Ein Sinn für Humor, Geduld, Ruhe und solide Management-Skills helfen ebenfalls.

Fast Company is one of America’s most successful business magazines. What sets it apart is its award-winning focus on innovation, particularly in the creative industries.

Under the tutelage and critical eye of legendary art director Robert Priest, I was part of the team that designed Condé Nast’s largest magazine launch in history (with a total budget of $100 million). Sadly, this beautiful and original business magazine did not survive the economic slump that rocked the nation shortly after its launch.

A job at one of Hearst Magazine’s biggest success stories brought me to New York City. At the time, this women’s magazine—led by one of the world’s most famous women—was reaching 2 500 000 readers per month. Adherence to the visual guidelines of this strong brand was paramount.

An internship at Santa-Fe-based Outside turned into my first job as designer at this outdoor-lifestyle magazine. A publication that regularly wins awards for its innovative editorial design, photography, and writing, Outside has a monthly circulation of 675.000. I was fortunate to work at the magazine the year it received the highly coveted “Magazine of the Year” award from the Society of Publication Designers.
