Jason Koebler

I am the lead engineer for Kairos Instruments' Mini CytoWorks system. We produce a microscope used for time-lapse imaging of living cells. My main areas of focus have been the design and coding of a user interface for the system, maintaining environmental conditions for the cells, and the design of a table that positions the cells for imaging.

I was a consulting engineer with GSR Design. I worked on a wide range of products including the design of fixtures for a laser welding machine, the structural design and layout of telescopic boom cranes, and the design of patterned FlatWire.

While working at Southwire/DeCorp, I was involved in the design and manufacture of a new product for the electronics industry, a paper-thin wire known as FlatWire. I designed various types of FlatWire including wire used for telephones, 120 Volt AC signals, low voltage DC signals, and video signals. In addition to wire, I also designed several methods for connecting FlatWire to conventional wiring systems.
