Projects include the development of a prototype battery test vehicle, the development of second-generation electric vehicle supply equipment, researching the impacts and implications of DC fast charging and methods of mitigating demand charges, and comparing battery degradation in on-road vehicles undergoing differing charging regimes.

Position responsibilities at this state power company included the provision of engineering and project management support in traditional and non-traditional areas relating to power distribution, distributed energy, renewable energy technologies, demand management and energy efficiency to the Technology Innovation team.

Consulting position was to provide technical background and feasibility of using industrial by-product hydrogen gas to provide electricity or as a fuel in vehicles.

Consulting position to the University of Victoria administration for a campus-wide greenhouse gas audit and analysis project that will assist in the government-mandated process to become carbon dioxide-neutral. Responsible for transportation-related emissions.

Consulting position was to conduct a project to determine the feasibility of installing a fuel cell-based back-up power system in the British Columbia Provincial Legislature building in Victoria.

Consulting position at this state power company consisted of development and documentation of uniform and technically accurate procedures for asset inspection and management. Training documentation was also prepared, and multiple training sessions of regional employees were conducted.

Managerial position at this state power company involved the management of a $500,000 engineering research project with the objective of studying the failure phenomenon of specific types of timber power poles. The project involved determining the failure causes and devising a technical methodology for failure prevention. Recommendations were made that were adopted across the state-wide, million-pole network that resulted in multi-million dollar savings.
