• Researched on the general structure of the milk value chain in Kenya • Assisted on the feasibility of introducing milk cooling solutions for small scale dairy farmers in western Kenya • Research served as the start-up phase for the future implementation of a milk cooling system using solar energy

• Developed and audited the annual nutritional and crop protection program • Organized the annual agrochemical bulk orders • Developed the annual agricultural budget • Developed and supervised experimental field trials dealing with pest and disease control, soil and plant nutrition

• Managed an area of approximately 1,100 ha and 500,000 orange trees • Organized and supervised all farm activities, e.g. field preparing, planting, fertilizing, harvesting • Responsible for supervising 35 collaborators during no-harvest season, 250 during harvest season • Developed the annual farm budget

• Carried out experimental field trials dealing with crop protection, soil nutrition, weed control • Collected and analyzed field trial data • Enhancement of the crop protection program, with special focus on the control of Citrus Greasy Spot caused by the fungi Mycosphaerella citri
