I was recruited to set up the Internal Communication function at Thomson Local and devised and managed the internal communications strategy. My role involved acting as a consultant for other departments on internal launches of products and events, creating brand guidelines for the company and creating a new Intranet across 16 sales offices.

Managing the media relations for regional press across 13 UK sites, travelling worldwide supporting events and exhibitions to ensure our products/capabilities are featured in show publications as well as national press – both UK and/or international and supporting the Media Relations function with public affairs, monitoring media coverage in all relevant publications and all corporate driven communications.

Write and edit all copy for the Council publication ‘Heathscene’ which is delivered to 36,000 households quarterly, support internal communications; manage a range of campaigns throughout the year, including redundancy communications and manage the bi-annual Business Breakfast Conference hosted by the Council with over 300 local businesses attending and a selection exhibiting during the event.
