Constructing Excellence
FORCE, the Forum for Constructing Excellence, was formed following a period of consultation which started in late 2000, between local construction leaders and the local Learning and Skills Council. Since 2000, FORCE has evolved into the local Best Practice and Constructing Excellence Club, and is now encompassed within the Constructing Excellence movement nationally, as well as the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence regionally.

Founded in 1922, E H Smith is now one of the largest privately owned building materials suppliers to the construction industry in the UK, employing over 600 people, with a group turnover in excess of £110m (2007/8) I am responsible for 'Strategic Business Development.' In plain english, I look for opportunities and then develop a strategy to make them happen. I do a lot of work with Masterplan Architects, City Planning and Regeneration teams and large building contractors.
