Responsible for a platform running on Azure Kubernetes Services where the company’s data platform and the customer facing websites are developed and operated. There I provide architecture, infrastructure, ci/cd, monitoring, security, connectivity and automation building blocks. During this time I evolved the platform from being stand-alone, unstable and, too-complex-to-use environment, to a resilient, integrated component of the company’s IT infrastructure with self-service usage for 30+ developers.

Responsible for deployment and administration of cloud infrastructure, mainly Azure PaaS Networking components (such as ExpressRoute, Application Gateways and API Management Service). Accomplishments: Changed way of working from manual deployments to code based deployments through Azure Devops CI/CD pipelines. Implemented availability monitoring for our complete architecture, thereby giving insight in the uptime of important business applications.

I was tasked with deploying virtual machines in Azure and AWS using Terraform.

In a simulated environment tested the in-truck communication provided by the vehicle electronic control unit. Accomplishments: Automated a range of different tests which could easily be rerun after every software release cycle, greatly reduced the amount of repetitive manual testing.

Teamed up with technical consultants to visit potential customers, and translate technical problems to new project proposals. For running projects I checked the monthly budgets and sent out invoices to clients. Accomplishments Instructed over 50 colleagues in the Netherlands and India on how to fill in the complex company timesheets. This reduced end of the month workload, and made sure that our clients were billed correctly.
