Juhi Gurnani

Researcher at the Robotics Research Center at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering in NTU, Singapore from July 18- Jan 20. Involved in path-planning of a 6-DoF robot arm for 3D printing of cranial implants with a honeycomb core. Also, involved in tutoring Engineering students in Electric Circuits and Design. Now transferred to the DELTA-NTU Corp Lab to work on a project involving automation of assembly tasks utilizing the Learning by Demonstration technique.

Working in Lehrstuhl für Turbomaschinen und Flugantriebe i.e. Chair of Turbomachinery and Flight Propulsion on the design of a performance prediction tool for LOX (Liquid Oxygen) turbopumps used in Liquid Rocket Engines, with the help of MATLAB programming. Implementation of several analytical-empirical models using MATLAB and the addition of pressure losses and corrections to them for better head performance prediction of turbopump inducers.

Worked in the Process Automation department. Performed 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD. Configured process graphics on ABB Operator Stations for various Pulp & Paper, Metals & Minerals and Oil & Gas industries on the Industrial Process portal. Also worked on the OKI project supporting Graphic Display Amendments for Chemical Plant Factory Acceptance Test.

Worked in the Engine Services Sales department for 4 months. Learnt to update the KPI and update Engine spares related information on the company portal. Completed Metalworks Safety Orientation Course and was attached to the Ship Engine spares production workshops.
