At the moment I am working on an interface position between the laboratory staff, the next-generation sequencing (NGS) lab and the bioinformatic analysis of NGS data, which is my main occupation. In my workgroup we are doing research on ancient human remains dating back as far as the early Stone Age. On one side we are interested in human genetics and the changes that we can see over time. My main occupation is the detection and reconstruction of ancient pathogens.
