Responsible for - outsourcing 4 non-core activities in the Supply Chain org. (identifying, sourcing, implementing & launching) - optimizing existing third party service contracts (meet and exceed budget target of 5% net cost improvement) - explore new outsourcing / insourcing opportunities in the Manufacturing area

During this period I held a variety of positions (total of 30 y of service, 20 y managerial level, 4 director level, 2 international assignments for 7,5 y) of ever increasing level and responsibilities, working locally/regionally/globally in a very challenging international / multidisciplinary / multicultural environment, of which I am still proud

Global Purchasing Director a.o. responsible for sourcing requirements for the new global car platforms (Insignia & Astra) on a wordwide basis and optimize existing costs (exceeded annual reductions > 5%). With my global teams we achieved new global benchmarks and overall recognition for outstanding performance

In the newly formed Purchasing JV between GM Corp and Fiat Auto, I was responsible to represent and optimize the GME interests in sourcing all Electrical components for the new Opel Corsa/Fiat Punto as well as identify new cost improvements for the existing Opel platforms.
