Dr. Kathryn Gerry

Assistant Professor of Art History at a small, private fine arts college; taught 3 courses/semester covering global topics before c. 1700, with an emphasis on ancient and medieval European art and architecture; advised undergraduate students; supervised graduate and undergraduate student employees; served as the Area Head for Art History (2017/18 academic year); undertook a variety of internal service positions involving collaborative work with faculty, library staff, and admissions staff; active research.

Undertook regular curatorial duties within the collection of Medieval Art; conducted research related to the collection; co-authored The Medieval World (Giles, 2011); contributed to exhibition catalogues; assisted with the major exhibition Treasures of Heaven: Saints, Relics and Devotion in Medieval Europe (Cleveland, Baltimore, London, 2010-2011); supervised undergraduate and graduate interns.

Undertook curatorial duties in the Department of Manuscripts and Rare Books; co-curated the major exhibition The Saint Johns Bible: A Modern Vision through Medieval Methods (Baltimore, 2009); contributed to a number of digital and publication initiatives; conducted research on the collection.
