I had the great opportunity to do a rotation in the emergency department and in the oncology/hematology unit at the Marien Hospital. During the internship I was able to learn about the functioning of the German health care system as well as to improve my language skills. I was also able to learn certain techniques specific to this field such as performing biopsies and bone marrow transplants.

I worked as an emergency doctor in this medical centre. My job consisted of taking the patient's medical history, performing a physical examination, establishing a presumptive diagnosis and initiating treatment if necessary. In addition, I had to evaluate laboratory results (blood tests, arterial blood gas), imaging tests (X-rays) and electrocardiograms.

I have had the opportunity to work at the Hospital de Bellvitge, which is a research and reference hospital for liver transplants. • Provided nursing care, dealt with emergency situations and evaluated the care given. • Carried out ECG ́s and collected biological samples from patients (blood test, blood cultures, urine samples...). • Put cannulas, urinary and nasogastric catheters in. • Monitored vital signs and got familiar with the non-invasive and invasive ventilators as well as Hemofilters.

• Worked in an intensive care unit specialized in Burnt patients. Vall d ́Hebron is one of the most important hospital in Spain. • Carried out complex wound care, administered treatment prescribed by doctors and monitored intubated patients.
