I am participating in the Edge Program to launch my career in an international Deals environment. My job rotations are Valuations&Strategy, Transaction Services, as well as Business Recovery Services.

The Tech Startup School creates a connection between theory and practice for both, businesses as well as students. Students, interested in working on real business related difficulties of selected companies, have the opportunity to develop financing-capable business models. Simultaneously, mid-size companies with a shortage in resources and time can design and implement the developed business models in their firm.

I worked at different Financial Due Diligence projects mainly analysing balance sheets as well as profit and loss accounts, including the detailed evaluation of specific items as for instance working capital. This proved my awareness of the importance of team-work, team spirit and time management as well as my ability to experience these skills. Moreover, my detail-oriented working style supported me when collaborating in the content preparation of reporting deal tools for customers.

The independent development of a planning and reporting tool deepened my advanced MS Office knowledge and gave me the opportunity to become more familiar with further controlling systems as SAP. In addition, my active participation in the preparation of a new pricing structure demanded my analytical skills and fast familiarization in new areas. The following implementation of the developed planning and reporting tool in conjunction with the new pricing strategy was a complete success.

I collaborated in the development of investment strategies by preparing and evaluating decision templates of customers and contributed in the Manager Selection process. During my participation at the order desk, in detail processing orders as well as supporting the preparation of portfolio composition presentation, I gained a broad understanding and experience of a portfolio manager’s area of responsibility.
