JET is the word's biggest nuclear fusion experiment. The system grew extensively over the last 25 years in terms of software and unique hardware. I am project manager for the software integration of hardware and do necessary programming. I added two new products into our portfolio and improved our processes and supervised junior employees. Being part of the internal IT Review team I could improve the IT for all members on site by focusing on hot-spots, identified by internal questionnaires.

I was responsible for the IT department of the subsidiary in Basel of PRO DV (Dortmund). I coordinated about 15 projects with the project managers, provided the resource planning for a team of eight software engineers and oversaw the system architecture. I introduced automatic testing and unified software and hardware.

Automation and Robotics is an area that is in the intersection of software and mechanical engineering. I worked as project engineer in mechanical engineering while working on my Ph.D. We worked on R&D together with 10+ private companies. Goal of the R&D were improvements of the companies automation processes. Beside the project management I developed the robot programming and control system DirectControl and eLearning software. I oversaw the IT outsourcing contract for our department.

I held the lecture "Datenbanken und betriebliche Informationssysteme I" which is based on Oracle databases, database modelling and the use of databases.
