I'm responsible for security and privacy of products, developed at Helsinki site. In the planning phase, this includes analyzing risks and regulatory landscape, formulating requirements, designing security architecture. During the development, I conduct security tests and aim to ensure that the solution is optimally balanced between the ideal and the minimal. For products in the field, I handle vulnerability monitoring, incident response, and security audits.

Stonesoft was a company making an enterprise firewall. I developed its VPN component. In addition to this, I supported the company in obtaining security-relates certifications (FIPS, Common Criteria, FSTEK), plus specified and developed features required by the above certifications.

I developed cloud-based operating system for bioinformatics, together with the applications for the former.

I defined security requirements and processes for the products. Examples: I had specified security architecture for two big programs, built a PKI from identifying the needs to installing the hardware, and defended a solution, favorable for the company, in the standardization.

I specified and managed security-related features in radio access network elements. That meant evaluating the present state of the product, collecting customers' expectations, translating them into technical requirements and identifying the priorities, aligning the former with developers and product managers. I was also delivering relevant parts of the picture to the management and to the customers.

I designed, developed and tested algorithms for locating mobile subscribers in cellular network. Initially I worked with network-based calculation utilizing cell identity, timing advance, and received signal strength. Upon completion of that project, I prototyped and tested collection and distribution of A-GPS data.

In a team developing the network management system, I answered the question "What is the capacity of our product". This involved defining relevant metrics, writing performance measurement and capacity estimation tools, and executing performance tests both in-house and in customer environments.
