Assistant to the laboratory manager of inorganic, organic, medicinal, and physical chemistry teaching laboratories. My duties consisted of reagent preparation, instrument maintenance and calibration (GC, IR, HPLC, flash chromatography system, melting point apparatus, analytical balances), and enforcement of laboratory safety and good laboratory practices.

- Organic synthesis and full characterization of small heterocyclic molecules as potential anti-malarial and anti-cancer drugs - Development of 1H NMR-based method for stereochemical assignment of tetrahydro-beta-carbolines - Establishment and maintenance of human breast cancer cell lines (MDA-MB-231, BT-474, and MCF-7) in biosafety level 2 laboratory - Optimization of cell-proliferation assay protocol and study of synthesized derivatives in breast cancer cell lines

- Independent teaching in undergraduate General and Organic chemistry laboratories (up to 72 students/semester) - Development of course material, lecturing, tutoring, grading, and troubleshooting of experimental procedures - Providing support and mentoring to junior teaching assistants in a role of auxiliary teaching assistant

- Maintenance of rodent cell lines (HepG2, U-937, and preadipocytes) - Study of complement system proteins using SDS-PAGE and Western Blot - Preparation of reagents and buffers in a biochemistry laboratory
