The Amgen Scholars Program provides selected undergraduate students with the opportunity to engage in a summer research experience at leading research institutions. Students attend scientific seminars, workshops and other networking events as well as present their work at the Amgen Scholars European Symposium in Cambridge, UK. I was working at the Department of Pharmacy - Center for Drug Research, Pharmaceutical Biology, focusing on deciphering the therapeutic potential of natural compounds on cancer.

Industrial placement year at Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Berlin at the department of Common Mechanism Research, Indication Expansion. My tasks included: Scientific evaluation of new indications, Research of disease pathways, Identification of animal models, Competitive market analysis, Identification of Contract Research Organisations (CRO's), Presentation of projects.

Degree with Distinction

Stockholm Summer School, June 2013. The course provides an introduction to the basics of Bioentrepreneurship, an overview of the life science market as well as business development opportunities in the life science industry.
