Laura Peeperkorn

At Novar tis I am responsible for the production lines for syringes and auto-injectors. I recognize where lines can be improved and collaborate with various suppliers to optimize efficiency or to implement new products on the lines. I develop requirements for new production lines, ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Nobleo is an engineering company based in the Netherlands. My work as a Mechanical Engineer involves designing, developing and building high-tech machines for clients in a large range of industries. I've worked on projects in the semiconductor industry, autonomous robots and the cosmetics industry. I am also Project Lead on multiple small teams, ensuring successful development from start to finish. This work includes working with clients and suppliers, stakeholder, development planning and budget control.

Master thesis done in-house at TNO in the optics and the opto-mechatronics department. Title of the thesis was: "Towards a neutrino trap: Design, optimization, realization and characterization of a fiber laser hydrophone." Grade on the thesis was an 8. Experience in various design optimization processes (topology, parameter) in COMSOL.

Monitoring the long term policies of the various sports associations affiliated with K.S.V. Sanctus Virgilius.

Supporting students during the seminars making exercises in statics and mechanics. Part time.

Department Jacket lift system - Pioneering Spirit. Structural calculations and design for the Pioneering Spirit (the largest vessel in the world) in Inventor. Full time.

Helping students conduct laboratory experiments for the mechatronics project, a second-year Mechanical Engineering project with a focus on the intersection of mechanics, electronics and information technology. Part time.

Treasurer of the union for all the Dutch student climbing clubs, part time activity. We organized among others winter- and summer courses (alpinism, tour-skiing, offpiste skiing). I developed skills working with big budgets and overseeing (large, long-term) project.

Treasurer of a student climbing association, part time activity. Organizing activities for our members and handling the financial section.

For one year I was the full time team manager of the WASUB project. WASUB is a team of TU Delft students who design, test and manufacture their own human powered submarine. At the end of the year we competed in an international student competition for human powered submarines.
