Leo Rantanen

My role was to represent the radiomedia industry in the media and handle media contacts and cooperation with various target groups such as media agencies, advertising agencies and research companies. My wide range of marketing and communication tasks spanned from RAB marketing and brand management to strategic planning and reputation management to media contacts.

As a Creative Director at Fonecta I had brand management and marketing responsibilities and took part in the strategic planning of company marketing and product development. I set up and managed Fonecta’s own marketing production team of three people. I acted as a marketing advisor to different departments regarding product development, product visuality and B2B sales planning. My daily work also included managing contacts to medias, evaluating partners and measuring marketing results

I acted as the company representative in marcom related matters and liaisons with all partners and subcontractors etc. Leading the teams confidently towards new directions and supporting the team members during the transition period.

In this position I was responsible for managing 02 02 02, 020202.fi and ravintolaopas.net brands. I managed connections to various advertising agencies, media agencies and digital marketing companies. I took part in product development and planned multi channel marketing campaigns. In addition to B2C marketing I contributed to several B2B marketing projects.

I was responsible for product concept development in directory assistance in one of the Finland's biggest call center. I managed development projects and service quality surveys in call centers and provided various reports and business analysis’ for my superior. I had the project leadership in the development and launching a new automated directory assistance. It was selected as the Most Innovative Product of the Year in SpeechTEK 2002 in New York.

My main responsibility was to budget and track expenditures. In addition I made and finalized various financial reports and analysis to the management and members of the board. I participated in the implementation of SAP management system. In addition I managed few projects regarding financial reporting. I also took part in different projects as a financial adviser.

Main tasks in this position included coordination and execution of different mystery shopping and test customer surveys. One on the responsibilities was to write research reports and preset the research results to customers. I managed contacts to various customers. One of the tasks was to participate on the researches as a professional evaluator.
