Dr. Letícia Batista

During my doctoral training, the core of my day-to-day was developing and maintaining reproducible analysis pipelines in Python (NumPy, pandas, napari) and R (DESeq2, tidyverse, ggplot2) — covering RNA-seq, 3D image quantification, and connectome database queries, all under version control with Git. I evaluated and integrated new algorithms from scientific publications, optimised existing workflows for efficiency and reliability, and communicated results clearly to interdisciplinary teams.

As a research fellow, I worked on international, multidisciplinary projects spanning genomics, metagenomics, metabolomics, peptidomics, and proteomics. I generated, processed, and analysed high-throughput NGS data alongside complementary biological and chemical datasets, planned and executed in vivo and in vitro experiments, and contributed to the development and optimisation of laboratory workflows.
