At Lonza I worked with Pichia pastoris, generated new plasmids and competent cells. Then I did Screenings and analytics with SDS-PAGE, Western blot and Caliper LabChip. Further, I purified proteins with IMAC and verified gene copy numbers by Southern blot. I planned, executed, interpreted and documented my experiments on my own.
-Method development (characterisation of protein interactions; IgG quantification; ELISA assays) -Operations support (quantification of sediments with an ultracentrifuge) -Life Cycle Management (analytics of proteins with SDS-PAGE and photometry)
Aim: understanding the role of transporters in colon cancer Techniques: Cell culture of human cell tumor lines, siRNA technology, MTT and cell counting assays, RTPCR and western blots
