PhD project title: Molecular mechanisms of the mammalian heat shock transcription factor Hsf1 Duties: • Protein production and purification, • Protein biochemistry and analysis (FPLC, RP-HPLC, IMAC, IEC, SEC, Western blot, SDS-PAGE, BN-PAGE, EMSA, CD, stopped-flow, Fluorescence/Fluorescence polarization), • Hydrogen exchange mass spectrometry (conformational dynamics, mapping interaction sites of macromolecules), • Teaching and supervision of students, • Literature review and scientific writing.

Duties: • realization of projects related to protein production and purification, • protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western blot, dot-blot), • cell cultures; adherent cell culture at industrial scale, • validation documentation and validation of analytical methods, • documentation of work in the system supporting the laboratory work CS-17 LIMS, • literature review, • reports writing, • Internal Auditor associated with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 norm.

Duties: • protein production (optimization of expression conditions), • protein purification (affinity chromatography, gel filtration chromatography, ion-exchange chromatography), • protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, pull-down), • molecular cloning (constructs and primers design), • proteins crystallization (crystallization setup, alternative approaches for protein crystallization), • literature review and presentation of research data.
