Topic: Utilisation of big data in the automotive supply chain • Develop an understanding of the current big data trend as well as its drivers, challenges and potential value • Assess the theoretical potential of big data in the automotive supply chain, by mapping the automotive supply chain and identifying potential areas for big data utilisation • Analyse the current use of big data in the automotive supply chain in practice • Estimate the future development of big data in the automotive industry

• Contributed to a reduction in transportation costs for Pan European groupage transport by implementing new service providers in more than 20 Magna plants on site. • Organised premium freights with freight procurement tool, acquired new customers to buy this tool and trained them in its use • Prepared data, conducted RFQs, analysed quotes from service providers • Supported introduction of new framework agreement with all service providers by combining business and legal knowledge

• Conducted web research about biotechnology, its economic potential and possible collaborations between Austria and the UK • Assisted UK companies entering the Austrian market by providing information on the market as well as standards and regulations in Austria and locating Austrian suppliers and prospective partners. • Supported the organisation of the Advantage Austria stand at 100% Design fair

• Identified the potential for Magna Steyr to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 15% and increase its sustainability by analysing and comparing different transportation modes for routings between Germany and Austria. • Collected information and created presentations about new projects and developments, which were showcased by Managers at national as well as international logistics and supply chain management congresses and events.

• Developed a holistic understanding of supply chain management by working in different departments along the automotive supply chain including transportation planning, purchasing, supplier development, material handling and packaging planning and used this knowledge to provide operational as well as administrative support to the departments.
