Technology transfer of scientific findings to industry for further development and commercialization.

- Work collaboratively in cross functional teams including personnel in Business Development, Purchasing, Operations, and Finance on new product development and to resolve ingredient and product technical issues. - In accordance with objectives develop and monitor business unit strategy plans and budgets. - Analyze and explore market trends; identifying new opportunities in Chile and Latin America. - Coordinate with other heads of departments, integrating objectives and ideas for organizational growth.

The Technological Center for Food Innovation CeTA is a 10-year project supported by the Chilean Economic and Development Agency CORFO that aims to promote the diversification of the Chilean food production matrix as well as to provide pilot-scale infrastructure for the food industry.

- Research Line Leader Renewable Resources. - Responsible for the definition, development, planning and management of contract research projects as well as new product development initiatives for the healthy food sector, including prioritization, resource allocation, budget management and improvement processes.

- Responsible for development, scale-up and process optimization for protein and antibody purification processes as well as related operations. - Performed process design improvements in order to reduce the quantity of lost batches and improved quality of product. - Delivered strategic and technical expertise to drive continuous process improvements that generated cost and time savings as well as optimized efficiencies.

- Development of analytical methods for the characterization of protein-protein-interactions as well as the analysis of inhibition effects by low-molecular-weight substances. - Protein refolding, purification and characterization of recombinant human histone deacetylases (e.g. HDAC-1) and receptor-tyrosine-kinases (e.g. c-Met). - Development of new protein refolding and purification protocols as well as protocols for chemical and/or enzymatic modifications of proteins.
