* Devloping an embedded machine learning platform for fiber-optic sensing devices, protecting critical infrastructure. (Rust/Python, NATS/SQLite)

* Contributed to an IoT SaaS platform processing billions of events from hundreds of thousands of devices daily. Used Go, Kafka, Redis and BigTable. * Extended the platform with a high-volume event route, handling up to 100k events / second using new microservices, read models and concurrent processing. * Developed a rate limit system for all incoming events, protecting the platform with millisecond overhead and fail-open fault tolerance. * Enabled a new cost model, introduced new engineering practices.

* Led development of a new engineering platform for the Mercedes-Benz Group. Designed over 150 API endpoints and data models. Trained / onboarded 4 developers. * Built full stack features for the platform from scratch including import, search, 3rd party integrations, visualizations and proprietary specification workflows. * Scaled the platform to support more than 3 million data entities via hot path tuning and proposing and implementing event-driven workflows, microservices and optimized read models.

* Re-architected a legacy order management system to make it microservice-ready. Replaced GraphQL with contract-driven REST APIs. * Ported the main parts of the systems Spring-backend and React-UI to the new approach and took the initiative to coordinate the team for the rest of the rebuild. * Extended the system with full stack features including a multi-stage order wizard, generic Kafka-based email subscriptions, automatic capacity collision resolution and measurement sensor placement planning.

* Implemented Spring APIs for the large-scale Breuninger online store microservices platform as part of the checkout team. * Worked on disaster recovery measures and encrypted backups. * Extended and scaled Gitlab CI/CD infrastructure with Terraform / AWS. Optimized Java / JavaScript build processes. Automated AWS / Docker image creation following test-first principles. * Developed DevOps software for server-provisioning in Clojure, including Kubernetes automation.

* Led a team of 6 undergraduates to build the Java-prototype of an energy-marketing platform for a distributed smart power grid. * Drove requirements engineering, algorithm design and domain exploration. * Designed System and Software Architecture and coached team in modern software development.

* Built a User Management-prototype for the performance-monitoring software inspectIT in Java.
