I was employed by the Council as temporary agent - translator within DGA 3 B, Romanian Linguistic Unit. My responsibilities included: translation of documents from English and French into Romanian, revision and terminology research for EU secondary legislation acts (directives, regulations, decisions, recommendations and opinions) and other types of Community Acquis and administrative documents (memoranda, agreements, rules of procedure, addenda, written procedures, letters, cover notes, etc.)

The company was involved in execution of PHARE and ISPA funded projects: rehabilitation and construction of roads and bridges, water distribution and sewerage networks, extension and construction of waste water treatment plants, construction and arrangement of ski-slopes and chairlift installations, etc. I was actively involved in translation of technical documents: tender documentation, technical specifications, FIDIC type contracts, technical user's manuals, articles of incorporation, law texts, etc.
