Chemistry Section Chief for the DC Public Health Laboratory. Technical Supervisor for clinical chemistry. The Chemistry Section includes the Clinical Toxicology Unit (CTU), responsible for clinical chemistry, clinical toxicology, and the District’s CDC Tier II LRN-C Lab (CLIA), and the Forensic Chemistry Unit, responsible for forensic chemistry testing of Controlled Dangerous Substances and opioid surveillance (ISO-17025).

Development of instruments and methods for trace analysis of gases and liquids for a environmental and medical research. Led the installation and operations of the laser mass spectrometry and molecular spectroscopy lab.

Self-study program and experience to pass a clinical board exam to become certified as a High Complexity Lab Director, given authority to be a director of a clinical US laboratory.
