Responsible for setting up the new IoT, Proximity/Fog/Intelligent Flexible Cloud and Next-Generation Networking business unit at Canonical and bring to market industry changing solutions.

My strength is to combine strategy, technical visionary and business go-to-market together. I understand when a technology has industry-changing potential. Afterwards I design a multi-step lean startup plan to solve a critical industry problem. In phase 1 I use open source to drive competitors out of the market but in phase 2 there is always a massive revenue plan. Finally I teach sales and BD how to sell solutions by closing the first deals and signing up the first partners. From there we scale up.

Defined and implemented the public cloud strategy for a Tier 1 telecom operator.

Helping telecom operators understand disruptive technologies (e.g. cloud computing, nosql, p2p, social graph, mcommerce, etc.) and build new revenue streams and businesses on top of them. Combine strategy, business development, pre-sales, delivery, operations and partner management to build new businesses mainly based on revenue sharing. €100+M pipeline. 1 patent request.

Co-founder of a global CEO-sponsored program to bring innovation and start disruptive new businesses around cloud computing. Leading a team of 36 people in California during two months and selling to global customers all over the world. Newest innovations around cloud computing were used both in business (revenue sharing, etc.) as well as technology-wise (amazon, rackspace, twilio, tropo, nosql, m2m, etc.). Startups delivered 3 commercial products: Cumulocity.com, Creatary.com and CloudStreet.

Strategy definition, implementation, evangelism and management of the off-shoring and near-shoring program for Europe.

Managing several multi-million euro projects in various tier 1 and 2 operators in Europe and the North of Africa. Projects are with large system integrators (IBM, Accenture, Indra) and various smaller off-shore (Ucrain, India, etc.). Pre-sales (Bahrain, UAE, Egypt, Israel, Germany, Belgium, etc.). Recruiting (Singapore, Rome, Spain, UK), business process improvements, knowledge management and supervising my direct reports.
