My position includes the following tasks. Statistical analyses with large data and modeling for the HIV/Hepatitis and Cancer group, including cost-effectiveness analyses. Teaching for statistical courses. Statistical consulting for the members of my group.

Coordinating the work of the assistants (exercises, exams), correspondence with lecturers, hiring tutors.

My position included the following tasks: Research in the fields of robust statistics and linear mixed effects modeling. This is mainly done by individual work (programming, lecture, experiments, publishing) combined regular meetings with the advising professor. Organizing and giving statistical seminars held at the ETH. Also authoring, organizing and correcting term exams. The latter two tasks can be summarized as teaching.

My position included the following tasks. Consulting for scientific projects, students and industry (e.g., Alstom). Introductory courses for statistical packages (R, SPSS) for students and researchers.

The title of my dissertation is: Robust Estimation of Linear Mixed Effects Models. Lectures included Quantitative Risk Management, Extreme Value Theory, Data Mining: Learning from Large Data Sets.

Core subjects: Mathematical Foundations of Statistics, Probability Theory, Functional Analysis, Numerical Methods for Elliptic and Parabolic PDE.
