Marcus Thormählen

At SMZ SocialMediaZolutions we build highly customized Java- and Jive-Applications. My duties are programming Java-Applications, setting up automated delivery and deployment system for deployments into different hosting environments and setting up and maintaining continuous integration, automated testing- and release-management (Jenkins, Nexus, etc) for clients like Adidas, Bundeswehr (BWI Systeme) or Jung von Matt. I am also coordinating technical contractors.

As Senior Art Director at Saint-Elmo‘s Entertainment I was in lead of small teams focused on "Web 2.0" technologies. We help clients to decide which social media outlets to apply to their online PR campaigns and realize them. Especially IPTV and social web applications were realized for customers like BMW, Allianz, Sanofi, Microsoft and others.

Among other services, i-d media offered a hosting of web related services in our own server room in Berlin. I was responsible for the administration and support of our web servers and the hosting of web pages.
Additionally, I installed and took care of the Fibre-Channel-XSAN video cutting system and 
administrated and supported approx. 30 Mac clients.

My duties as Professional Designer were wide-ranging including concepts for clients, development of corporate designs, prepress and the realization of all print products. I worked in a team which was focused mainly on creating community pages for big clients. After approx. 2 years I decided to specialize in the technical aspect of print finishing, media and color management.
