I have acquired experience with pathogen detection and the development of sample preparation methods, all of which are very relevant to the advertised position. More generally, I have studied the genetic and molecular basis of infectivity of enteropathogens, such as the hospital pathogen Clostridium difficile and the water and food related pathogens, Vibrio cholerae or Vibrio parahaemolyticus, respectively.
