Development of a multi-protocol network router for satellite communication systems, implemented in C, VHDL, and SystemVerilog for the Versal ACAP platform.

Firmware development in C for a microcontroller (EFM32 Giant Gecko) to control a tunable filter, acquire signals from photodetectors, and send them to a single-board computer. Under the mentoring of Professor Dr. Camilo Arturo Rodríguez, this work was the final stage of a larger project focused on developing a portable and energy-efficient fiber-optic interrogator for real-time monitoring of wavelength-based sensors.

Software development in Python for a single-board computer (Raspberry Pi 4) under the mentoring of Professor Dr. Camilo Arturo Rodríguez. The main objective was to incorporate the SBC into an optical interrogator, enhancing the system's portability. This work was part of a larger project focused on developing a portable and energy-efficient fiber-optic interrogator for real-time monitoring of wavelength-based sensors.

Software development for Windows and Linux-based operating systems written in Python to enable users to visualize sensor outputs on a Graphical User Interface (GUI), store acquired data and set different inputs for dynamic signal processing.

Development of an Android application (written in Java) responsible to sample a light signal, process it, decode it, and display the information from the transmitted signal to the user. It was done under the mentoring of Professor Dr. Jair Adriano Lima and motivated by the lack of wireless communication alternatives in environments such as UTIs, where traditional radio frequency technologies are not viable due to most medical equipment being vulnerable to electromagnetic interference.
