Under the mentoring of Professor Dr. Camilo Arturo Rodríguez, this work was the final stage of a larger project focused on developing a portable and energy-efficient fiber-optic interrogator for real-time monitoring of wavelength-based sensors.

Development of an Android application (written in Java) responsible to sample a light signal, process it, decode it, and display the information from the transmitted signal to the user. It was done under the mentoring of Professor Dr. Jair Adriano Lima and motivated by the lack of wireless communication alternatives in environments such as UTIs, where traditional radio frequency technologies are not viable due to most medical equipment being vulnerable to electromagnetic interference.
