I am responsible for the CIGAR (Channel Inspection & Gauging Apparatus for Reactors) system consoles, instrumentation, cables, and in-channel mechanical components. CIGAR is an inspection tool used to inspect the pressure tubes of CANDU reactors. The tool utilizes ultrasonic and eddy current techniques to detect flaws, pressure tube diameter and wall thickness, pressure tube sag, and garter spring locations.

My first assignment (1 year) was with the Mechanical Plant Design Section where my duties included the preparation of calculations (i.e. thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics), document/drawing updates, engineering specifications (pumps, valves, louvers), and presentations to senior management. My second assignment (3 months) was with the Design Projects Section where I was responsible for preparing workplans for installation/commissioning of new equipment/systems and revising operating procedures.

- Specialized Subjects: Energy Systems, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Static and Solid Mechanics - Honors/Awards: Awarded the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Medal for highest cumulative GPA in my graduating class. Obtained Presidents List Status every semester
