I investigated the cellular mechanisms ensuring accurate chromosome segregation, focusing on understanding specifically mitotic kinases that governs this process. We used biochemical reconstitution and cell-based assays to develop and implement a framework assessing the reliability of in vitro phase separation assays to predict the cellular localization of macromolecular complexes. This resulted in two first-author publications in high impact journals guiding more robust experimental strategies.

Independently designed and executed CRISPR/Cas9 mediated genome editing strategies. This work included standard molecular biology and tissue culture techniques, i.e. molecular cloning (primer design, PCR), sequencing, cell transfection (lipid-based & electroporation), screening cell lines (genomic DNA PCR, Immunoblotting ).
