Led strategic and operational procurement as well as supply chain & quality management. Successfully delivered comprehensive procurement transformation programme, including implementation of a new global supply chain.

PFW Aerospace GmbH is an Aerostructures subsidiary of Airbus Group and a leading supplier of aircraft tube and pipe systems and other aerostructural components. Position: Led Procurement and Supply Chain Management organisation of about 90 employees and close to 200m€ annual spend, covering procurement, supply chain & quality management and logistics. Together with Board of Management colleagues successfully turned-around the company. Delivered comprehensive procurement transformation programme.

Led large-scale procurement transformation and savings programme covering entire EADS Group and portfolio of more than 50 sub-projects. Successfully built-up General Procurement Shared Services for EADS Group (with 8bn€ annual spend at this time). Led strategy development, business performance management and shared services governance with all Airbus business units.

Led General Procurement transformation and savings programme across all Airbus. Led and delivered successfully project portfolio of more than 30 projects across all General Procurement commodities and Airbus entities, covering suppliers worldwide.

Led global Travel Management organisation of Airbus. Managed total company travel spend of more than 500m€ p.a. Developed and implemented integrated and lean travel management organisation across all Airbus entities; including outsourcing of non-core competences and operational services to strategic partners. Led successful implementation of Airbus-wide online travel booking and expense tool; based on harmonised travel policies and processes across company.

Developed from "Consultant" to "Senior Managing Consultant" in strategic consulting line. Focussed on projects in Aerospace, Air Transportation and Travel Industry. Led and delivered successfully several high-profile customer projects in business strategy, organisation development, sales and marketing, (new) business development, investment planning, process re-engineering, operations excellence and cost-cutting.

Led and delivered industry-wide market analysis and forecasting; contributed to corporate and business unit strategy and planning processes. Led and facilitated strategy and business development projects of business units. Represented DFS in European projects and organisations, e.g. EU, Eurocontrol.

Doctoral thesis on “Design and implementation of a knowledge based system for strategic market planning in air transportation”. Final Exam with „summa cum laude".

Scholarship for MSc Programme in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT, Cambridge, USA.
