Dr. Maurice Petzold

I work in a team on a ultracold molecule experiment. I am responsible for the analysis of our data and coding the algorithms simulating the physical processes using multiple programming tools. Furthermore large parts of my work include the system engineering of a ultra high vacuum apparatus and several laser systems.

I developed with our team a new beam slowing technique via laser radiation pressure. I was responsible for the Data Analytics and the numerical simulations of our process. The system engineering of the experimental apparatus including CAD and a lot of communication to external suppliers and the institute-workshop. The implementation of the apparatus and the collection of data using multiple sensor types. The documentation and publication of our scientific research and the supervision of students.
