As a PCI Manager, my primary role was to oversee and ensure the security and compliance of our organization's payment card systems. This involved implementing and maintaining the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), assessing vulnerabilities, and establishing robust security measures to protect cardholder information. I collaborate with cross-functional teams, educate employees on security best practices, and work towards maintaining a secure environment for our customers' data.

Participating real, ongoing Security Operation Center (SOC) Shifts Conduct core information security activities: SIEM, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Education & Awareness, Malware Detection, Incident Response (CIRT,CSIRT), Network Monitoring and Log Analysis. Monitor and analyze logs and alerts through SIEM und EDR Systems (Splunk, IBM QRadar, SentinelOne, Crowdstrike) and identify security incidents for remediation and investigation.

The aim of the exchange was to give an insight into as wide a range of IT professions as possible and at the same time to check on my previous experience to define options for action together with me for a quick and efficient entry into an IT profession. Considering the natural proximity of these topics to military paradigms and strategies, we came to this conclusion that Cyber Security would be the optimal solution for me to combine all my experiences in a single area of IT to continue my career.
