Development of fluorescence-based assay technology for the detection of biomolecular interactions; Assay optimization (for example signal and analysis optimization); Transfer of assay technology to other formats ( from macroarray to microarray, transfer to flow cell system for kinetic measurements)

Development of LSPR-based assay technology for the detection of biomolecular interactions; Synthesis of new biocompatible nanomaterials and derivatisation of these nanomaterials with reactive biomolecules such as proteins, peptides and antibodies using different coupling chemistries; Assay signal optimization; Scaling-up of the developed processes for manufacture; Management of international projects with industrial and academic partners; Introduction of new technologies and concepts
