Miriam Hötzel

During my internship I was working in a consultancy team (2-3 consultants) on two different marketing and market research projects. The first project was carried our for an engine manufacturer and the second one for a FMCG company. Every project included a Kick-Off Presentation and a Final Presentation at the companies.

During my internship I was responsible for various tasks in the area of Controlling, Sales and HR. I supported the (inter)national teams with organisational and administrative processes and acted as an interface between the accountancy and the sales teams. My main tasks were to carry out the monthly Salescheck, applying for and monitoring credit insurance limits, participating in meetings to discuss on how to improve and optimise processes, taking care of incorporation tasks and training new employees.

In spring and summer 2013 I carried out my final thesis at Recore Systems B.V.. My aim was to research the route to market for the DAB/DAB+ digital radio receiver chips (ICs), to conduct a general market/competitor overview for this world-wide market and to give the company a recommendation as to how viable this market is for them.

During my internship I supported the Marketing team in the daily business, updated the websites with the programmes ProWeb and Typo3, created marketing materials (brochures, newsletters etc), supported the sales teams, organized meetings and participated in meetings with media agencies. Moreover, I was given the opportunity to help organizing the leading trade fair "Anuga FoodTec 2012" for the GEA Group and to actively participate at the fair as a general contact person for our customers.
