• Lead the development of the Hybrid Powertrain architecture selection tool for TATA Motors Passenger Cars. • The tool was developed in MS-Excel and helped in understanding the fundamentals within a driveline system. • It has the ability to simulate different levels of hybridisation with a user friendly interface and it can suggest the optimum motor position, motor size and battery. • The tool also indicates commercially viable options in terms of fuel efficiency and performance.

Topic - “Optimisation of power delivery and fuel efficiency for Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV’s)” which involved – • Research on Internal Combustion Engines, Batteries, Motors, HEVs and New European Driving Cycle. • Developing and modelling logical algorithms to optimise the power delivery and fuel efficiency. • Simulating the systems as an independent and integrated system. • Discussing and evaluating the optimised solution. Result - 78 %.

• Developed new Powertrain algorithms/concepts for different levels of hybridization and in the range of an automatic clutch system to improve the ride comfort and acceleration for Manual Transmissions. • Implementation of software functions using rapid prototyping tools (ASCET with On Target EHOOKS) and applying/commissioning the implementation within the test vehicle. • Supported the team with simulation using MATLAB, by generating a script to analyze driver behaviour for different subjects.
