Planning and execution of local and global IT projects.

In addition to System Administrator duties, I took over the management of IT department of Avira Bucharest: - Hiring 2 extra FTEs, a Client Team and a Network Administrator. - Managing the local projects (ex. Avira Bucharest relocation to a new office location). - Syncronising the local IT department with the other IT departments within Avira (Germany, Netherlands, Malaysia). - Implementing the global IT policies in Bucharest office.

- In charge of the Linux servers infrastructure, running in different geographical locations, their roles varying from web servers, databases, staging systems, instant messaging, version control systems, mail servers and mail relays, proxies, fileservers, vpn, etc. - Securing and hardening the server infrastructure by tightening configurations (grsecurity, selinux) and applying the needed security patches.

Doing technical support for RAV antivirus products: - RAV for Mail Servers, running on Unices (Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD, BSDi, Mac OSX, Unixware), Windows NT/2000 or Novell NetWare and covering various MTAs (sendmail, postfix, qmail, courier, exim, communigate pro, exchange) - RAV for File Servers, on both Linux and Windows platforms - RAV Desktop for Windows - Create Knowledge Base articles, based on common encountered problems
