During three month stay as an intern at Quality control department i had an opportunity to learn the basics of: XRF, Analysis of Cement by using XRD, Chemical testing and quality monitoring of Coal, TGA (Thermogravimetric Analysis) of Fuel(Coal), Stoichiometric Calculations of Raw Mill for Concrete quality monitoring, Alternative Fuels such as Biomass, waste and tyres sampling and testing.

As a part of Bachelor's thesis, I conducted a research on Heat treatment/Precipitation hardening of aerospace grade alloy (Magnesium yttrium alloy). Research was conducted to test for the optimum heat treatment condition where High strength can be achieved while avoiding over aging in the alloy. Mechanical testing was performed to test for strength. Ex-situ microstructural analysis was performed using metallographic techniques followed by SEM and TEM.

PCSIR is a public organization responsible for Research, testing and analysing for industries in Pakistan. As an intern i had to spend almost two weeks in different facilities there including : Chemical Testing , Bio-Medical Research, Non-Destructive Testing, Mechanical Testing, Coatings Divisions.
