Berufserfahrung von NISHANT KUMAR

  • Bis heute 10 Jahre, seit Juni 2014

    Materials Engineer

DLR - Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt

    - Analyzing bulk macroscopic properties of highly size-asymmetric granular materials. - Exploiting microstructure and geometrical arguments for developing stiff materials. - Developing continuum model involving structure for predicting the bulk powder behavior along a generic path by performing extensive 3-D numerical simulations. - Characterizing macroscopic elastic and plastic material behavior by microstructure. - Enhancing mixing in particulate assemblies composed of charged particles.

  • Research Intern

    Schlumberger Oilfield Services

Pipe Flow Modeling in Sequestration of Carbon Dioxide - Developed an integrated model for injection of CO2 in wellbore for sequestration. - Implemented model in Matlab for solving transient mass, momentum and energy balance equations for compressible fluid/gas. - Incorporated real time Equation of state from REFPROP (NIST) in CFD modeling.

  • Research Intern

    Nestle S.A.

Characterization of sensory and texture attributes of food materials using experiments. - Extracted physical parameters from rheological experiments using MITlaos software. - Performed experiments for Torque Calculation of power law fluids in Brookfield viscometer and compared with COMSOL simulations.

  • Research Intern

    CNRS

Shear Rheometry of MR fluid in oscillatory squeeze flow test - Brought out experiments on flow of Bingham fluid in Squeeze Flow geometry. - Analyzed the total force at top plate as function of time by COMSOL simulations. - Validated computational findings for Bingham fluid in oscillatory squeeze flow test with experiments.
