UKL 1 & 2 program multi variant platform for Mini, Clubman, Joy, and long wheelbase versions. Using Catia V5 to design BIW Middle and rear floor panels intergrating into the BMW Prisma database. Experience of the BMW model data and Catia modeling standards, BMW macros for Spot weld clearance generation and hole definitions. Rolls Royce bodyside module AB. Design of parts with minimal touching surfaces allowing electrolyte protection fluid free flow during dipping process.

Working on Composite structures (Catia V5) VW International Motor Show (Frankfurt) showcar VW019 and follow up project VW019XL. Highlighting VW’s concept 1 litre engine, composite body and trim structure design. Composite parts from Carbon Fibre panels laid-up in moulds produced from Catia Data. Work involved concept design for the rear structure, fixing and bonding methods. Hardware components packaged and made functional, so that the final design was a fully working vehicle to be shown at the show.

Working on European weight reduction project Super Lightweight Car (SLC) For Hr. Dr. Martin Goede at Volkswagen research centre – The project is sponsored and part funded by European Union and involved working together with other Tier one suppliers such as Porsche, Opel, Volvo and leading Universities and Technical Institutions in Germany. Aim to reduce the B.I.W structure by 30% in weight to improve emissions, using light-weight construction materials.
