I spent six months working in rural Uganda, assisting in the collection of data for a £1.5 million study on the development of empathy in infants. As one of two Western researchers at the Budongo field-site I managed a team of local assistants, oversaw the project finances, and helped solve any problems that arose

During the summers of 2019 and 2021 I worked as a camp counsellor for Leolingo, planning and delivering a programme of games and activities that would help children (aged 6 to 16) improve their English, while also having fun.

I carried out a variety of tasks, largely focused around IT, communication and translation, at this non-profit organisation which aims to raise awareness of climate change among children around the world.
