Release engineer for car dashboards software: fighting with IBM Rational tools, maintaining the server, setting up repositories, writing custom tools to support the release process. I ported the build system from make to SCons and the release tool from make (don’t ask) to python.

I designed a professional sound level meter from scratch (except for the high precision microphone, sourced outside): I took care of the selection of the components, design of the electronic schematic, design of the electronic board, lab measurements and development of the software, both for the internal microcontroller and the PC interfacing with the instrument (through USB).

I maintained Windows based applications written in Visual Basic: in particular I implemented support for multiple languages and developed a translation tool. I designed the company website and integrated a web-based system for distributing software updates to customers. I designed and developed a server based system to search for the closest workshops throughout Italy, check the available times and book an appointment, creating the entry directly in the Windows client calendar running on the customer machin
