As part of my Master's thesis, I am analysing what impact EU GDPR has on UK based projects/organisations that deal with Patient Identifiable Data on how they store, access, process and authorise access to ‘sensitive’ patient identifiable data. Furthermore, I am investigating what additional processes and controls are required to correctly implement GDPR over and above current UK DPA regulation.

I was employed in a complex project that brought together techniques from surface physics, biotechnology, and cell biology. I was involved in the development of novel protein-protein interaction assays through micropattern-mediated capture of mammalian cell surface proteins. I performed my assigned tasks with precision, determination, patience, and excellent reproducibility. Whenever problems arose, I was persistent and resourceful in their resolution. I also created data for a manuscript in preparation.
