At this job I was not only designing vacuum bag making machines but I was also responsible for the whole manufacturing system. It was a challenge to design several machine only by myself. After a year and a half of my work the production rate of vacuum bags increased by 3 times. The defect rate was decreased from 30% to 5%.

After only two weeks of my internship and a field trip to the customer the freshly created design engineering department instantly became profitable. With spare parts designed and fabricated by our company one of our big customers was able to cut the cost and time of repairs of heavy machinery by a 50%. Also great that I was able to learn from experienced mechanical engineers. Very rewarding job.

When I was designing this very sophisticated custom automatic wire drum making machine, I had to prove every design decision at the meetings. I had to deliver my vision of mechanics a lot. With my ideas a lot of «dead end» design spots were eliminated. I gained a lot of experience in technical drawing from a skilled engineer I was working with. With my skills in SolidWorks 2013 and GearTrax I cut down design time and finished my part of the project before deadline.
