The team of operational planning is responsible for the planning of shutting-downs of power lines and sub stations in the Swiss high voltage grid maintaining contingency constraints. A close coordination with neighbouring transmission system operators (TSO) and national stakeholders is crucial. In addition, the cross-border capacity is calculated and coordinated with neighbouring countries. The interests of the Swiss TSO are represented in national and international boards and cooperations.

Responsible for the coordination of different projects and tasks within the market design concept team. In addition, responsible for the Swiss Balancing Group Management (BGM): Managing contracts with all Swiss market participants taking part in the wholesale electricity market and monitoring of their behavior. Redesign of the (BGM) in terms of standard contracts and appendices, credit risk management, know your customer processes / due diligence and future trading possibilities for the Swiss market.

Implementation of an operative monitoring of market participants in sight of illicit behavior, participant in a European Working Group of ENTSO-E (TF-SPT), process optimization in the Balancing Group Management and Congestion Management, project member of Market Coupling project: coordination of future market mechanisms between the respective Transmission System Operators and Power Exchanges, project member of a new Scheduling Management system (GATT / WTO tender, evaluation of offers and scoping).

Operating the seismic recording instruments and checking the data quality. Constant monitoring of the seismic system ensures that signal versus noise characteristics are acceptable.
